Lasting Impressions
Mark the occasion with a personal engraved message for a heartfelt gesture that endures.
A Dalvey Sedan Clock makes a perfect gift, and can be engraved with initials, dates, a message, or even a motif.
The Grand Sedan is our most impressive clock, featuring an expansive, intricately textured face with raised increments and domed lens, hanging from a bespoke stand: an elegant and beautiful mantelpiece feature.
Part of the Grand Sedan’s appeal lies in its proportions, and the combination of a minimal footprint and expansive face. Engineered with a domed lens, the body of the clock is a satisfyingly ergonomic discus with a mirror-polished reverse, suspended from a simple, subtly adorned stand.
Complete with beautiful presentation packaging, the Grand Sedan Clock is ideally suited to gifting occasions - and makes an especially good wedding present. The mirror-polished reverse features a deep-engraved badge designed to be engraved with initials and dates, while the graceful convexity of the stainless steel form can be engraved with a personal message.
The gift of an engraved Grand Sedan Clock will be warmly appreciated for years – as a meaningful token and an enduring gesture.
Over the years we’ve had the privilege of engraving thousands of Grand Sedan Clocks with beautiful and heartfelt messages. The perfect symbolic gift, people have given Grand Sedans on significant occasions to mark major milestones in life.
Time is precious, waste it wisely
Love is not measured in moments of time, but in timeless moments
The best time is yet to come
Home is where our story begins…
Tempus neminem manet (time waits for no one)

A Dalvey Sedan Clock makes a perfect gift, and can be engraved with initials, dates, a message, or even a motif.
The Grand Sedan Clock has been inspired by the distinctive, circular, flat pendant clocks used in 18th century sedan chairs throughout European cities.
The sedan chair was invented in France and was introduced to Britain in the 17th century. It consisted of a leather-covered box carried on two poles, and proved invaluable for those travelling to social occasions in their finery – in the days when pavements were a luxury, and city roads liable to be covered in mud. They began to fall out of fashion in the early 19th Century, with the rise of the more comfortable Hackney carriage.
